Celebrating a Decade of Professional Global Etiquette: Embracing Evolution While Staying True to My Brand
In 2015, I made a decision that would shape the trajectory of my career and business: I chose the name Professional Global Etiquette. At the time, I hadn’t yet attended the Protocol School of Washington, but I already knew that teaching and learning global etiquette was a calling I wanted to pursue. It was more than a business idea—it was a vision. This name wasn’t just a placeholder; it was a declaration of purpose, a promise to myself and my clients that I would commit to understanding the nuances of etiquette in a global context.
Over the last decade, Professional Global Etiquette has grown and evolved, just as I have. While etiquette remains a cornerstone of my business, the name has come to symbolize so much more. It represents the diversity of services I offer, from business consulting and promotional products consulting to LinkedIn workshops and my personalized LinkedIn I’m You service. My Barker Brand Amplifier service has further expanded my ability to help clients build their visibility and credibility.
A Name That Fits a Variety of Services
The beauty of Professional Global Etiquette lies in its versatility. While it originated from my passion for teaching etiquette, it now encompasses every aspect of what I do. Whether I’m working with a business on consulting strategies, teaching LinkedIn optimization, or serving as a Fractional CMO, the name feels just as relevant today as it did a decade ago.
This consistency has allowed me to establish a recognizable brand. In a world where businesses often rebrand or pivot with each new offering, Professional Global Etiquette has remained steadfast. It reflects a timeless commitment to professionalism, adaptability, and excellence—qualities that resonate across industries and services.
Why I Kept the Name and Logo
Keeping the name and logo consistent over the past 10 years was an intentional choice. It wasn’t about resisting change but honoring the foundation I built and ensuring my clients always knew what to expect. A strong brand creates trust, and I wanted Professional Global Etiquette to stand as a symbol of reliability, expertise, and innovation.
Moreover, the name reminds me of where I started and how far I’ve come. It’s a testament to the power of vision and adaptability. While I’ve added services and expanded into new areas, the core values of respect, professionalism, and a global perspective remain unchanged.
Combining Etiquette, Coaching, and Business Strategy
The blend of offerings under the Professional Global Etiquette brand may seem unconventional, but it’s a natural extension of my expertise and passions. Business etiquette isn’t just about formalities; it’s about building relationships, understanding cultural nuances, and creating meaningful connections—all of which are vital in business consulting and LinkedIn coaching.
When I teach LinkedIn workshops or work with clients to amplify their brands, I draw on the principles of etiquette to guide them in presenting themselves authentically and professionally. When I consult on promotional products, my focus on detail and presentation aligns with the values I’ve championed since the beginning.
Looking Ahead
As I celebrate this 10-year milestone, I feel immense gratitude for the journey. The name Professional Global Etiquette continues to inspire me to innovate and grow. It’s a reminder that while the services I offer may evolve, the commitment to professionalism, global understanding, and exceptional service remains at the heart of everything I do.
I look forward to the next decade of growth, connection, and impact, knowing that my name and brand will continue to reflect the essence of my work.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey—you’ve helped make Professional Global Etiquette what it is today.
